Kahani is a concept quarterly magazine about culture, food and stories from South Asia. It needed a layout system that feels literary but modern.

The challenge
Every issue mixes long essays, photo stories and recipes. The layout had to handle all three without feeling messy.
Our solution
We created a flexible 12-column grid, a serif and sans type pairing and a set of page templates, from features to recipe spreads.
